Audio & Visual Effects

Card Sound Effects

  • Fixed missing sound effects for VeylanChainrunner, Stonewhal, and all variant cards. Variants now properly inherit audio and visual effects from base cards. This includes variants, Milestone variants, and cards like Bloodthirst variants.
  • Sound effects now respect Deadspace location restrictions. Both abilities and sounds are suppressed in Deadspace lanes.

Wager System Audio

  • Wager button plays distinct sound effects at each multiplier level. First press (x2) plays one sound, second press (x5) plays another. Visual effects for wagers not yet implemented.

Technical Updates

  • Enhanced VFXResolver to support all card type variants. Improved debug logging for troubleshooting. Fixed issue where some card abilities could execute in Deadspace lanes despite being suppressed.

Season Pass Timer

  • Added live countdown timer to Season Pass banner in Shop scene. Timer displays remaining time in appropriate units based on time left. More than 1 day shows days, less than 1 day shows hours, less than 1 hour shows minutes. Shows “Season Ended” when expired.
  • Uses server time to prevent manipulation. Updates once per shop visit rather than continuous refreshing. Falls back to device time if server unavailable.

Faction Territory System

Territory Benefits

  • Factions controlling territories now receive in-match benefits. New matchmaking screen displays current game mode, Punishing Mode status, and territory benefits for both players.

Guaranteed Locations

  • Clocktower territory guarantees Clocktower location appears in matches. Deadspace territory guarantees Deadspace location appears. If both players’ factions control different territories, both guaranteed locations appear in the same match.

Challenge System

  • Unified all challenge flows across Leaderboard, Faction Pages, Rivals, and Player Profiles. Improved profile caching for faster matchmaking. Direct challenges now properly load and display opponent faction information.

Faction Manager

  • Moved FactionManager to game startup for better performance. Faction data loads automatically during matchmaking. Improved faction data persistence across scene transitions.

Bug Fixes

Lucan Merric

Fixed ongoing aura being incorrectly removed when Lucan moved between lanes by Kalistra or other movement effects. Aura now persists during movement and only removes when Lucan is destroyed, discarded, or banished. Buffed allies maintain their bonuses when Lucan moves.

Matchmaking

Fixed faction benefits not displaying when challenging rivals after matches. Fixed missing faction data in certain challenge flows. Fixed opponent faction information not loading for direct challenges from leaderboard.
